Artur Express Volunteers to Transport Water Collected by Normandy School District Students to Flint, MI School

Flint MI VolunteersOn Tuesday, March 15th, employees with Artur Express headed over to Barack Obama Elementary School in Normandy to assist in a charitable event for the benefit of students in Flint, MI.

Flint, Michigan is experiencing an ongoing water contamination issue and students in St. Louis wanted to help. The students collected over 20,000 bottles of water that Artur Express is going to transport to Linden Academy, located in Flint, MI.

Over 400 students gathered for an assembly and then came outside to admire the 2016 Freightliner day cab and one of our brand new trailers. Even a few of the teachers were excited to check out the inside of the cab. Our driver, Lisa, instructed students and teachers how to properly enter and exit the vehicle safely and a lot of the students mentioned how cool it was that we have a female driver!

Another Artur company regional driver, will take the load the rest of the way for a delivery in Flint on Thursday. Students at both schools will be interacting via Skype during the delivery.
